What kind of game it is

A hidden identity game, in the style of «Werewolf» or «Mafia». At the start of the game every player is given a secret role that puts them in a faction. The roles of the others are hidden, except for the cases described in each role: you talk, you vote and you use your powers to bring your own faction to victory.

You play with three people or more. A game can last a few minutes or several days, because whoever creates it decides how much time each phase gets. There is nothing to install: a browser is enough, and anyone who wants to can add the game to their phone's home screen.

How it is played

The game alternates a night phase and a day phase. It ends as soon as one faction reaches its victory condition. It also ends by surrender: when at least one living player has surrendered and every living player who has not surrendered belongs to the same faction, that faction wins.

Night

Those who have a power use it in secret: somebody picks who to kill, somebody investigates, somebody protects...

Day

The living players talk and vote. Whoever gets the most votes dies. On a tie nobody dies. Dead players keep following the game and, if the settings allow it, they can also write in the chat. Some powers can be used in this phase too.

The factions

Every role belongs to a faction, and the victory belongs to the whole faction, not to the single player.

Some roles have powers that uncover information, protect a player or bring back somebody who is out. Others have no power at all and rely on words only. Inside the game you find the complete list with the description of each role.

The rules of conduct

Lying yes, showing your role no. You can lie, accuse and pretend to be another role: it is part of the game. Showing your own role through the app, with a screenshot or by handing over your phone, is not allowed, because it takes the point away from everybody's game.

In the chats people come first: insults, threats and harassment lead to being kicked out of the game and, if they are repeated, to the account being closed.

Coins and cosmetics

The game is free. Creating a game or joining one costs a few coins. Coins are earned by finishing official games, more if you win, and by watching ads. Coins buy cosmetic items such as frames, badges and name colours: they change how your profile looks, not the rules of the game.

Coins are a currency internal to the game: they cannot be turned into money and they cannot be transferred between players.

Getting started

You need a username and an email address, which is only used to recover your password. Then you create a game, share the code with your friends and off you go.
